ABOUT

WHAT IS ORBIT2D?

Orbit2D is a 2D survival sandbox game set on a hostile alien world. You play as a lone astronaut who crash-lands on an uncharted planet with nothing but a damaged suit and a failing oxygen supply. Your mission: survive, explore, and uncover what happened to the ancient civilization that once called this world home.

The game runs entirely in your browser — no downloads, no installs. Just open orbit2d.co and play.

THE WORLD

The planet spans six distinct biomes, each with unique terrain, resources, and hazards:

  • Grasslands — Your crash site. Gentle terrain, basic resources, your first shelter.
  • Desert — Scorching sands with exposed mineral deposits and ancient ruins.
  • Swamp — Dense, murky terrain hiding organic compounds and forgotten tech.
  • Mountains — Towering peaks with rare ores and extreme conditions.
  • Ice Fields — Frozen wastes preserving perfectly intact ancient structures.
  • Volcanic — The planet’s molten core exposed. Maximum danger, maximum reward.

GAMEPLAY

Survive. Manage oxygen, water, and health. Build shelters with life-support systems. Craft equipment to push deeper into hostile territory.

Build. Mine resources from multiple terrain layers. Craft tools, equipment upgrades, and structures. Set up power grids and oxygen generators to create safe zones.

Discover. Scattered across the world are fragments of data left behind by a civilization that vanished 1,842 years ago. Find blueprints for advanced technology. Activate ancient terminals. Piece together the story — and figure out how to reach orbit.
